About Moxie Java

Moxie Java StoreMoxie Java was founded by John Roberts and Chris Minion – a couple of guys who with a small obsession with great coffee. The first Moxie Java coffeehouse opened in 1988 on 6th and Main in Old Boise – before the ‘Green Mermaid’ came to town. The coffeehouse was a hit, and before you know it, Moxie Java’s were popping up everywhere in the Treasure Valley. Now Moxie Java coffeehouses stretch from Idaho to Minnesota (and an outpost in South Carolina!). Click here to find a location near you.

Moxie Java offers a full array of handcrafted, espresso-based beverages including mochas and Moxaccino using premium, proprietary ingredients. Our coffee menu is complemented by Italian sodas, cocoas, teas and other non-caffeinated options. Moxie Java offers hand-crafted breakfast, lunch and tea-time food options using recipes formulated in Idaho kitchens.

So in our pride we ordered for breakfast an omelet, toast and coffee and what has just arrived is a tomato salad with onions, a dish of pickles, a big slice of watermelon and two bottles of cream soda.
